RESOLUTION NO. 2023-441
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO WRH OF SOUTH
AMANA, IOWA IN THE AMOUNT OF $842,000.00, APPROVING
THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2023 FINAL CLARIFIER NO. 3
REHABILITATION PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1067, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, WRH of South Amana, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of $842,000.00,
in conjunction with the 2023 Final Clarifier No. 3 Rehabilitation Project, Contract No. 1067, and
is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, WRH submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of insurance, per the
specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2023-440,
after public hearing on July 17, 2023, in conjunction with the 2023 Final Clarifier No. 3
Rehabilitation Project, Contract No. 1067.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of WRH, in the amount of $842,000.00, in conjunction with the 2023 Final
Clarifier No. 3 Rehabilitation Project, Contract No. 1067, is hereby awarded to WRH.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by WRH, in conjunction
with the 2023 Final Clarifier No. 3 Rehabilitation Project, Contract No. 1067, are hereby
approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of July 2023.
