RESOLUTION NO. 2023-477
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BOULDER
CONTRACTING, LLC OF GRUNDY CENTER, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $60,106.75, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2024 WEST AIRLINE
HIGHWAY RAILROAD CROSSING REPAIR PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1090, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Boulder Contracting, LLC, of Grundy Center, Iowa, submitted a bid
in conjunction with the FY 2024 West Airline Highway Railroad Crossing Repair Project,
Contract No. 1090, in the amount of $60,106.75, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Boulder Contracting, LLC, submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with the FY 2024 West Airline Highway
Railroad Crossing Repair Project, Contract No. 1090.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Boulder Contracting, LLC, in the amount of $60,106.75, in conjunction
with the FY 2024 West Airline Highway Railroad Crossing Repair Project, Contract No. 1090, is
hereby accepted and awarded to Boulder Contracting, LLC.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Boulder Contracting,
LLC, in the amount of $60,106.75, in conjunction with the FY 2024 West Airline Highway
Railroad Crossing Repair Project, Contract No. 1090, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and
City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of August 2023.
