RESOLUTION NO. 2023-473
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO SITE SERVICES, INC.
OF ALGONA, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,560.00, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES,
CONTRACT NO. AB-2023-07-02P, FOR PROPERTIES
LOCATED AT 212 SUNNYSIDE AVENUE AND 1318
MARTIN ROAD, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Site Services, Inc., of Algona, Iowa, submitted a bid in conjunction with
Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2023-07-02P, for properties located at 212
Sunnyside Avenue and 1318 Martin Road, in the amount of $8,560.00, and is the apparent low
bidder, and
WHEREAS, Site Services, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with said abatement survey services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Site Services, Inc., in the amount of $8,560.00, in conjunction with
Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2023-07-02P, for properties located at 212
Sunnyside Avenue and 1318 Martin Road, is hereby accepted and awarded to Site Services, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Site Services, Inc., in
the amount of $8,560.00, in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-
2023-07-02P, for properties located at 212 Sunnyside Avenue and 1318 Martin Road, are hereby
approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of August 2023.
