RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL 10% PAYMENT REPORT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE AS TO WORK AND
MATERIALS FURNISHED BY JENS OLESEN & SONS'CONSTRUC-
TION CO. FOR "EDA CITY HALL ANNEX" , CONTRACT NO. B-
38, .ACCEPTING THE WORK AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT AC-
CORDINGLY.
WHEREAS, Jens Olesen & Sons Construction Co. , of Waterloo, Iowa,
have under contract with the City of Waterloo, Iowa , dated October 26,
1977, furnished certain materials and performed labor in connection
with EDA City Hall Annex, Contract No. B-38, in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the Final 10% Payment Report of the Engineers for the
work performed and materials furnished by the said contractors, under
said contract , is $289, 880.00, being the total construction cost of
this project , and
WHEREAS, under the terms of said contract said Contractors, Jens
Olesen & Sons Construction Co. , are to be paid 90% of the monthly es-

imates as furnished by the Engineers for the City of Waterloo, Iowa ,
and
WHEREAS, said Contractors have been previously paid the amount of
$232, 335.00 from E.D.A. Funds and other City Funds, as per the Engineer' s
Report , leaving a balance due of $28, 557.00, and
WHEREAS, the Final 10% Payment Report and Recommendation of Accept-
ance dated January 11, 1979, of the Engineers, certify that the work on
this project has now been completed by said contractors, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: That
Final 10% Payment Report and Recommendation of Acceptance of the Engin-
eers be approved , the work of Jens Olesen & Sons Construction Co. , Water-
loo, Iowa, accepted , that said contractors, Jens Olesen & Sons Construct-
ion Co. , Waterloo, Iowa, be paid the sum of $28, 557 .00, being payment in
full in accordance with the Engineers Report , and the Finance Director
be, and he i,5 hereby, authorized , empowered and ordered to draw a warrant
accordingly for the sum of $28, 557.00, and deliver the same to the said
Jens Olesen & Sons Construction Co. , Waterloo, Iowa.
Passed and adopted this 22nd day of January, 1979.
