A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF A CERTAIN
PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has undertaken a Flood
Control Project, and the parcel of land hereinafter described has been
appraised and an offer made to the owners of said property in the amount
of the appraised value which has been concurred in by the Federal Depart-
ment of Housing and Urban Development and said offer has been refused and
funds are available with which to pay for the said parcel from Flood
Control funds, and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described real property
is necessary in connection with the said Flood Control Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, that the following described parcel of real property be
acquired by condemnation in the manner provided by law, and such other
further action as may be necessary to effect acquisition.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
Fractional blocks Waterloo West described as Southeasterly 27.5
feet of Lot 47, all of Lot 48, Lot 49, and Lot 50 Fractional Block
10 except Southwesterly 125 feet.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this 12th day of February ,
1979, and approved by the Mayor this 12th day of February , 1979.
