A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING FROM THE ANTI-
RECESSION FUND THE SUM OF NINE THOUSAND
SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY ONE DOLLARS ($9, 751.00)
TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WITHIN THE GENERAL
FUND.
WHEREAS, the Anti-Recession Fiscal Aid Program was enacted
by Congress, beginning in July of 1976, and ,
WHEREAS, in the federal guidelines it states that allocat-
ions must be obligated within six months of receipt , and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
obligated $100,000.00 to the Fire Department in the General
Fund of the City of Waterloo on March 14, 1977 when the 1977
-1978 Fiscal Budget was passed .
WHEREAS , Antirecession Funds were stopped for the City of
Waterloo, because of the Unemployment Rate within the City, the
full transfer of funds was not made and this transfer of funds
reflects the additional amount received after the stoppage of
Federal allocations.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa that the City Clerk be instructed to certify a copy of this
Resolution to the City Treasurer of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
in order that said transfer be made.
Passed and adopted this 26th day of February 1979.
