HomeMy WebLinkAbout26209-03.05.1979 RESOLUTION NO. 2 6 2 0 9 RESOLUTION OVERRULING AND SUSTAINING OBJECT- IONS TO F.Y. 1979 PAVING PROGRAM NO. 2, CON- TRACT NO. 170. WHEREAS, a Resolution of Necessity proposing street , improve- ments on and along certain streets, avenues, roads, drives, boule- vards, etc. , and portions thereof, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as set out in Resolution No. 26194, was proposed by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, approved by it and notice of pendency thereof given on February 19, 1979, and WHEREAS, on March 12, 1979, the time fixed for the considera- tion of said resolution, written objections were filed by: 1. Violet Long, 230 Monroe Street , et al , to Monroe Street between Colorado Street and Arizona Street ; 2. Mrs. Henry Maddox, 813 .Archer .Avenue, to French Street; 3. R.E. Eilders, 350 Idaho Street to Wyoming Street . WHEREAS, this Council has fully considered all said objections and finds that the objections of Mrs. Henry Maddox and R.E. Eilders are without merit and should be overruled, and the objections of Violet Long, et al , are meritorious and should be sustained , now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the said objections of Mrs. Henry Maddox and R.E. Eilders made to the passage of Resolution of Necessity and to the making of the improvement therein described , be, and the same are hereby, overruled, and the objections of Violet Long, et al , sustained .
