A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING AN
OFFER FROM GETTY OIL COMPANY TO SELL THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, REAL PROPERTY AT
SE CORNER OF INTERSECTION OF EAST FIFTH STREET
AND FRANKLIN STREET, AUTHORIZING THE EX-
ECUTION OF REAL ESTATE SALE CONTRACT AND
ACCEPTING AND APPROVING DEED.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had the parcel described
herein appraised for the sum of $75, 000.
AND WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcel
is for City Hall parking lot purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, that the offer of the owner of the parcel hereinafter
described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which
is situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, are ac-
cepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all
instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the
property from the owners thereof, and the deed for the conveyance of
the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is
directed to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses nec-
essary to the consummation of the sales.

DESCRIPTION
The NEly 40 ' in width of the NWly 1/2 of Lot 2 in Block 40
in the original plat of Waterloo, Iowa on the E side of the
Cedar River, being a strip of ground fronting 40 ' on E 5th
St . , and extending back along Franklin Street 76 ' , more or
less,
and
The SWly 40 ' in width of the NEly 80 ' of the NWly 1/2 of
Lots 2 and 3 in Block 40 on the E side of the Cedar River
in the City of Waterloo, according to the original map and
plat thereof, same being a strip of land 40 ' in width and
fronting on 5th St . 40 ' , and extending back from said street
76 ' ,
and
The SEly 1/2 of Lots Nos. 2 and 3 in Block No. 40 in the
original plat , on the East side of the Cedar River, in the
City of Waterloo, Iowa,
and
The SWly 40 ' of the NWly 1/2 of the Lot No. 3 in Block No.
40 in the Original plat on the east side of the Cedar River,
in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
