RESOLUTION MAKING ASSESSMENTS FOR CUTTING AND DESTRUCTION
OF WEEDS IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA FOR THE CALENDAR
YEAR 1978 .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has given full
consideration of the schedule of assessments showing the assessments proposed
to be made for the purpose of defraying the cost and expenses for the cutting
and destruction of weeds in the Year 1978 on property located in Waterloo,
Iowa, where the property owners failed to cut said weeds , and
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed assessments of all expenses and costs in
connection with the cutting and destruction of weeds on property was given by
publication as required by law, and a Public Hearing was held and no objections
were made , and
WHEREAS , the proposed schedule , showing the several lots, tracts of land
or parcels of ground to be assessed and the amount proposed to be assessed
against each of the same for weed cutting during the Calendar Year 1978 , is
made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS , the City Council has found that the said schedule is correct,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that said
schedule of assessments , be, and is hereby, assessed and levied as a special
tax against each of the lots , parts of lots , tracts of land or parcels of
ground and the owners thereof as shown in said schedule the sum expressed in
figures and set opposite to each, and that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby directed to certify to the County Auditor of Black Hawk County, Iowa,
the assessments herein referred to as a list of liens against the various
properties described in said schedule, and the County Auditor shall cause
these liens to be entered on the tax lists of Black Hawk County, Iowa, to be
collected as other taxes and when collected said taxes shall be deposited in
the Street Fund of said City.
