RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING AS JUNE 25,
1979 IN CITY HALL ON PROPOSAL TO VACATE, SELL AND CONVEY
THE 20' WIDE ALLEY WITHIN BLOCK 6, HAYE'S ADDITION, WITH
CITY'S RETENTION OF UTILITY EASEMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, as follows:
1. That public hearing will be held by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall of Waterloo, Iowa, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. on the 25th day of
June, 1979 on the proposal to vacate, sell and convey the 20 feet wide alley within Block 6,
Haye's Addition, bounded by Commercial Street, Jefferson Street, West 17th Street and West 18th
Street, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at $0.10
per square foot plus costs, with City's retention of a utility easement, to Harry Otto Aschbrenner
Rodney J. and Barbara L. Henry, Max D. Eaton Insulation, Inc. , Floyd J. Oltrogge, Lulu I. Brandes,
Leo and Jean Plotz and Adeline M. Califf for $60.00, $120.00, $120.00, $60.00, $60.00, $120.00,
and $60.00 plus costs, respectively, with City retention of a utility easement, and legally
described as follows:
Vacation with Retention of a utility easement over, under and upon:
The Twenty (20) foot wide alley lying within Block Six (6) , Haye's Addition,
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Sell and convey:
To: Harry Otto Aschbrenner for $60.00 plus costs the following legally described parcel, with
City retention of a utility easement over, under and upon:
The northeast one-half of the alley lying adjacent to Lot 1, Block 6, Haye's
Addition, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
To: Rodney J. and Barbara L. Henry for $120.00 plus costs the following legally described parcel
with City retention of a utility easement over, under and upon:
The northeast one-half of the alley lying adjacent to Lots 2 and 3, Block 6,
Haye's Addition, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
To: Max D. Eaton Insulation, Inc. for $120.00 plus costs the following legally described parcel
with City retention of a utility easement over, under and upon:
The northeast one-half of the alley lying adjacent to Lots 4 and 5, Block 6,
Haye's Addition, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
To: Floyd J. Oltrogge for $60. 00 plus costs the following legally described parcel with City
retention of a utility easement over, under and upon:
The southwest one-half of the alley lying adjacent to Lot 6, Block 6, Haye's
Addition, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
To: Lulu .1. Brandes for $60.00 plus costs the following legally described parcel with City
retention of a utility easement over, under and upon:
The southwest one-half of the alley lying adjacent to Lot 7, Block 6, Haye' s
Addition, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
To: Leo and Jean Plotz for $120.00 plus costs the following legally described parcel with City
retention of a utility easement over, under and upon:
The southwest one-half of the alley lying adjacent to Lots 8 and 9 Block 6, Haye's
Addition, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
To: Adeline M. Califf for $60.00 plus costs the following legally described parcel with City
retention of a utility easement over, under and upon:
The southwest one-half of the alley lying adjacent to Lot 10, Block 6, Haye's Addition,
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish notice of the time and
place of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier once in the manner provided by Section 362.3 of the
1979 Code of Iowa.
