RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF PETERSON CONTRACTORS ,
INC . OF REINBECK, IOWA, FOR DRY RUN CREEK FLOOD
CONTROL WORKS IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $677, 982 , 32, FOR CONTRACT NO , 99Cn
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the bid of Peterson Contractors , Inc . of Reinbeck, Iowa for the
Dry Run Creek Flood Control Works , Contract No . 99C in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, filed with the City Clerk in accordance with the
terms of the published notice calling for proposals for the
construction of the said improvement, be, and the same is hereby,
accepted, the bid of Peterson Contractors, Inc, in the amount of
$677, 982 . 32, being the lowest legal bid received on said proposal,
and that the contract be awarded to Peterson Contractors , Inc . of
Reinbeck, Iowa, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and
they are hereby, authorized, instructed and ordered to enter into a
contract on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for the construction
of the said improvement with the said Peterson Contractors, Inc , , but
said contract shall not be binding upon said city until the same has
been duly approved by the council .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other bids for said improvement
be, and they are hereby, rejected, and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to return unto the persons filing the same
the certified checks accompanying such rejected bids .
Passed and adopted this 18th day of June, 1979.
