A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING FROM THE FEDERAL REVENUE
SHARING FUND THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED SIXTY TWO
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($ 162,000.00) TO THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS, the City Council passed the 1978-1979 Fiscal
Budget on March 6, 1978 allocating $ 600,000.00 for Police
Salaries, and
WHEREAS, Union negotiations had not been completed at
the time of Budget preparation and adoption and due to two
murders in the city involving overtime salaries it is now
necessary to transfer an additional S 162,000.00 to the
General Fund within the Police Department,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a transfer be made for
the amount of $ 162,000.00 from the Federal Revenue Sharing
Fund to the General Fund, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be instructed
to certify a copy of this Resolution tothe City Treasurer of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, in order that said transfer be made.
Passed and adopted this 25th day of June 1979.
