RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCE TO SECTION 582,
OF ORDINANCE NO. 4602, AS AMENDED, TRUCK
ORDINANCE (TRUCK EMBARGO) ON VARIOUS STREETS
IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has
adopted an Ordinance embargoing truck traffic on East 4th Street,
from East Louise Street, north to East Donald Street, and west to
Logan Avenue, known as Section 582, of Ordinance No. 4602, as
amended, Traffic Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineering Department has requested a
variance to said Ordinance to allow Active Thermal Concepts to use
this portion of East 4th Street and East Donald Street to allow
completion of Phase 2 demolition of the former Chamberlain
Manufacturing facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that a variance to Section 582, of Ordinance No.
4602, as amended, Traffic Ordinance, be granted as requested.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of June, 2010.
