The price bid for the chain link fence shall be full compensation for furnishing all material, including concrete anchors and • shims, and all of the equipment and labor required to erect the fence in accordance with the plans and specifications. • Chain -Link Fence Fabric shall be helically wound and woven with 2 inch diamond mesh, 9 gauge, with a core wire diameter of 0.148" (3.76 mm) and a breaking load of 1260 Ibf (5740 N). Fabric shall be zinc coated (galvanized) as per ASTM A 817, Type 2, Class 2. • Polyolefin Coating for all chain link fence fabric shall be 6 mil (0.15 mm) to 10 mil (0.25 mm) thickness, thermally fused to steel core wire (per ASTM F668 Class 2b), black in color complying with ASTM F 934. • Fabric shall be knuckled on both selvages (K&K, top and bottom). • All fencing will have a top rail, with a tension wire for the bottom. • All rails, posts, and other fencing components shall be coated to match the chain link fabric. Bid Item 109 (4' x 8' double gate — Wireworks) will remain as bid. Bid Item 110 (6' x 4' single gate) shall be CHANGED to chain link fencing to match the rest of the 6' fencing on site. Please provide price adjustment for this bid item also. Chain link gate will have top rail frames on all sides. Please let me know if you have any questions. At the dimensions shown, that should make sense but wanted that to be clear. I would also note that, since the concrete will have a slight slope, that the base plates will need to be shimmed slightly to maintain vertical (plumb) installation of all the railing features while having solid attachment to the concrete and maintaining that spacing of less than 4" throughout. It includes downsizing the railing member sizes from those originally proposed on Sheet L4.03 and manufacturing the panels in separate segments for ease of manufacturing, transportation, and assembly. Note that there would be 14 of these railing units and they would be mounted on concrete pavement spaced at 4' o.c. as shown on the plans to reach the intended 52 LF of railing for the playground and splash pad.
