RESOLUTION NO. 2023-537
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY PETERSON CONTRACTORS,
INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$2,042,138.61 IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2021
COMMERCIAL STREET, KATOSKI DRIVE AND HAWKEYE
ROAD RIGHT TURN LANE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1024, AND RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-
YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, performed work in
conjunction with the FY 2021 Commercial Street, Katoski Drive and Hawkeye Road Right Turn
Lane Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1024, and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., has completed the aforementioned project, in
accordance with the bid documents, specifications, form of contract, etc., as approved by Council
on March 15, 2021, Resolution No. 2021-161.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Certificate of Completion and Recommendation of Acceptance of
Work, for work performed by Peterson Contractors, Inc., at a total cost of $2,042,138.61, in
conjunction with the FY 2021 Commercial Street, Katoski Drive and Hawkeye Road Right Turn
Lane Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1024, are hereby approved, and receive and file a
two-year maintenance bond.
