RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO JOHN DEERE
TO HOLD JOHN DEERE FALL FEST 2010 EVENT ON
SEPTEMBER 8-11, 2010.
WHEREAS, John Deere has made written application to the City
Council asking that they be authorized and permitted to hold John
Deere Fall Fest 2010 event on September 8-11, 2010, and
WHEREAS, said event will include a tractor parade on Friday,
September 10, 2010 starting at 8:00 a.m., with route beginning at
TechWorks located at 360 Westfield Avenue, proceeding to
Westfield Avenue and Jefferson Street, continuing on Jefferson
Street to W. 6th Street, left on W. 6th Street to Martin Luther
King Drive, continuing on Martin Luther King Drive to Idaho
Street, left on Idaho Street, continuing on Idaho Street to East
Donald Street, and right on East Donald Street to John Deere
Tractor and Cab Operations located at 3500 East Donald Street.
The parade will depart at 1:00 p.m. from 3500 East Donald Street
and will reverse the path with the return route to involve E. 5th
Street to Jefferson Street, and right on Jefferson Street to 360
Westfield Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of John Deere to hold John Deere
Fall Fest 2010 event on September 8-11, 2010, with said event to
include a tractor parade on Friday, September 10, 2010 starting
at 8:00 a.m., with route beginning at TechWorks located at 360
Westfield Avenue, proceeding to Westfield Avenue and Jefferson
Street, continuing on Jefferson Street to W. 6th Street, left on
