RESOLUTION NO. 2023-572
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BROCK
EVEN CONSTRUCTION, LLC, OF JESUP, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $171,241.25, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2024 SIDEWALK REPAIR
ASSESSMENT PROGRAM - ZONE 3 PROJECT, CONTRACT
NO. 1082, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC, of Jesup, Iowa, submitted a bid
in conjunction with the FY 2024 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 3 Project,
Contract No. 1082, in the amount of $171,241.25, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC, submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with the FY 2024 Sidewalk Repair
Assessment Program - Zone 3 Project, Contract No. 1082.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Brock Even Construction, LLC, in the amount of $171,241.25,
in conjunction with the FY 2024 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 3 Project,
Contract No. 1082, is hereby accepted and awarded to Brock Even Construction, LLC.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Brock Even
Construction, LLC, in the amount of $171,241.25, in conjunction with the FY 2024 Sidewalk
Repair Assessment Program - Zone 3 Project, Contract No. 1082, are hereby approved, and the
Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of September 2023.
