RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
OCTOBER 16, 2023, TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY THE
CITY OF WATERLOO TO VACATE, SELL, AND CONVEY
CITY -OWNED RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED EAST OF 1239
SHELDON STREET AT BECKER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL,
TO THE WATERLOO COMMUNITY SCHOOLS, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1.00, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th day of October 2023, to
hold a public hearing, in conjunction with the request by the City of Waterloo to vacate, sell, and
convey city -owned right-of-way located east of 1239 Sheldon Street at Becker Elementary
School, to the Waterloo Community Schools, in the amount of $1.00.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2'd day of October 2023.
