RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
OCTOBER 16, 2023, TO APPROVE A REQUEST BY THE
CITY OF WATERLOO TO VACATE AN EIGHT -FOOT
DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT ON A PARCEL OF
LAND AND VACATE 7,150 SQUARE FEET OF CITY -OWNED
RIGHT-OF-WAY IN THE "R-2" ONE AND TWO FAMILY
RESIDENCE DISTRICT, LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST
CORNER OF MAYNARD AVENUE AND GREENHILL ROAD,
AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th day of October 2023, to
hold a public hearing, in conjunction with the request by the City of Waterloo to vacate an eight -
foot drainage and utility easement on a parcel of land and vacate 7,150 square feet of city -owned
right-of-way in the "R-2" One and Two Family Residence District, located at the northwest
corner of Maynard Avenue and Greenhill Road.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2'd day of October 2023.
