RESOLUTION NO. 2023-640
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY ARENDS EXCAVATING, OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $583,757.02, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2021 LEVERSEE ROAD LIFT
STATION, CONTRACT NO. 983, AND RECEIVE AND FILE A
TWO-YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Arends Excavating, of Waterloo, Iowa, performed work in conjunction with
the FY 2021 Leversee Road Lift Station, Contract No. 983, and
WHEREAS, Arends Excavating has completed the aforementioned project, in accordance
with the bid documents, specifications, form of contract, etc., as approved by Council on
November 23, 2020, Resolution No. 2020-849.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Certificate of Completion and Recommendation of Acceptance of
Work, for work performed by Arends Excavating, at a total cost of $583,757.02, in conjunction
with the FY 2021 Leversee Road Lift Station, Contract No. 983, are hereby approved, and a two-
year maintenance bond received and filed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of October 2023.
