RESOLUTION NO. 2023-650
RESOLUTION AFFIRMING PRIOR APPROVAL OF PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., AND
AUTHORIZING TO PROCEED IN CONJUNCTION WITH
ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT NO. AB-
2023-07-02P, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 212
SUNNYSIDE AVENUE AND 1318 MARTIN ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met on August 7, 2023, in a
public hearing and approved plans, specifications, form of contract, etc., in conjunction with
Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2023-07-02P, for property located at 212
Sunnyside Avenue and 1318 Martin Road, and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Courier did not properly publish the Notice of Public Hearing,
in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2023-07-02P, for property
located at 212 Sunnyside Avenue and 1318 Martin Road, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 16, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that it is deemed advisable and necessary and it is so ordered on motion
by this Council that said plans, specifications, form of contract, etc., in conjunction with
Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2023-07-02P, for property located at 212
Sunnyside Avenue and 1318 Martin Road, be affirmed, and said project proceed in accordance
with said specifications.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of October 2023.
