RESOLUTION PRELIMINARILY APPROVING PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ESTIMATE OF
COST, ETC., FOR THE F.Y. 2010 SIDEWALK REPAIR
PROGRAM - ZONE 10 AND TRAIL REPAIRS, CONTRACT
NO. 779.
WHEREAS, the City Council previously instructed the City
Engineer to prepare and file plans, specifications, form of
contract and preliminary estimate of cost, etc., for the F.Y.
2010 Sidewalk Repair Program - Zone 10 and Trail Repairs,
Contract No. 779, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as specified in
the specifications, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has filed said plans,
specifications, form of contract and preliminary estimate of
cost, etc., and the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, having
considered the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that said plans, specifications, form of contract
and preliminary estimate of cost, etc., be, and the same are
hereby preliminarily approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 2010.

RESOLUTION NO. 2010-208a
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF CEDAR RIVER
FESTIVAL GROUP FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 3094.
WHEREAS, Cedar River Festival Group is requesting a variance
to the Noise Ordinance on August 1, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00
p.m. in conjunction with the Cedar River Festival event to be
held at Exchange Park, including a PA system and a band, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Cedar River Festival Group has made formal
application for a variance on August 1, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Cedar River Festival
Group for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on
August 1, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in conjunction with
the Cedar River Festival event to be held at Exchange Park,
including a PA system and a band, be and the same hereby granted.

RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF SCREAMING
EAGLE AMERICAN BAR & GRILL, 228 EAST 4TH
STREET, FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE,
ORDINANCE NO. 3094.
WHEREAS, Screaming Eagle American Bar & Grill, 228 East 4th
Street, is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance and
permission to close a portion of Lafayette Street between 4th and
5th Streets, starting Thursday, May 6, 2010 and each Thursday
through November, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in conjunction
with Bike Night event, including a PA system and band, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Screaming Eagle American Bar & Grill, 228 East
4th Street, has made formal application for a variance starting
Thursday, May 6, 2010 and each Thursday through November, 2010
from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Screaming Eagle American Bar &
