RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING ON PROPOSED BID DOCUMENT,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE
OF COST FOR TWO (2) 2010 INFIELD GROOMERS
WITH ATTACHMENTS, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO AND
THE TAKING OF CONSTRUCTION BIDS THEREFORE, AS
APRIL 12, 2010, AT 5:30 P.M. AT CITY HALL
COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
shall meet at the City Hall Council Chambers in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 12th day of April, 2010, for
the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed bid document,
specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for Two (2)
2010 Infield Groomers with Attachments, in the City of Waterloo
and the taking of construction bids therefore.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.

RESOLUTION NO. 2010-232
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RECOMMENDATION OF
ACCEPTANCE AS TO WORK AND MATERIALS FURNISHED
BY HELMKAMP CONSTRUCTION OF IOWA OF ANKENY,
IOWA FOR THE F.Y. 2009 BIG ROCK ROAD BRIDGES
REPLACEMENT WITH BOX CULVERTS, CONTRACT NO.
739, AND ACCEPTING THE WORK.
WHEREAS, Helmkamp Construction of Iowa of Ankeny, Iowa, has
under contract with the City of Waterloo, Iowa, furnished certain
materials and performed labor at a total cost of $248,259.19 in
connection with the F.Y. 2009 Big Rock Road Bridges Replacement
with Box Culverts, Contract No. 739, in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the Certificate of Completion and Recommendation of
Acceptance be and the same hereby approved.

RESOLUTION NO. 2010-232a
RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
WITH TERRACON CONSULTANTS, INC. AND DIRECTING
EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT BY MAYOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the Agreement for Services dated April 5, 2010, at an
estimated cost of $5,596.00, for observation and testing services
for the Rath Packing Demolition Backfill project (93-97 Vinton
Street), by and between Terracon Consultants, Inc. of Cedar
Falls, Iowa and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be and the same is
hereby approved, and the Mayor authorized to execute the same in
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
