RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF WATERLOO
COMMUNITY PLAYHOUSE/BLACK HAWK CHILDREN'S
THEATER, 224 COMMERCIAL STREET, FOR VARIANCE
TO NOISE ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 3094.
WHEREAS, Waterloo Community Playhouse/Black Hawk Children's
Theater, 224 Commercial Street, is requesting a variance to the
Noise Ordinance on June 12, 2010 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in
conjunction with Run For The Dream 5K event to be held at Lincoln
Park, including a PA system and live DJ, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Waterloo Community Playhouse/Black Hawk
Children's Theater, 224 Commercial Street, has made formal
application for a variance on June 12, 2010 from 7:30 a.m. to
10:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Waterloo Community
Playhouse/Black Hawk Children's Theater, 224 Commercial Street,
for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on June 12,
2010 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in conjunction with Run For The
Dream 5K event to be held at Lincoln Park, including a PA system
and live DJ, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May, 2010.
