RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO DESTROY CERTAIN RECORDS AND PAPERS
AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 372.13(5) OF 2009 CODE
OF IOWA.
WHEREAS, the Code of Iowa for 2009, under the provisions of
Chapter 372.13(5), provides upon order of the Council that all
records and papers, other than proceedings, ordinances and
instruments having to do with real estate and bond issues, may be
destroyed, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is
desirous of destroying certain records and papers under the
provisions of Chapter 372.13(5) of the 2009 Code of Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, be and she is hereby authorized and directed to
destroy the following records as provided under the provisions of
Chapter 372.13(5) of the 2009 Code of Iowa:
The records to be destroyed are for Arts & Recreation and
Young Area for FY82 through FY97 and includes the following:

Payroll timecards
2.
Copies of
timecards sent to
City Hall
3.
City Hall
payroll reports
4.
City Hall
monthly financial
reports
5.
Copies of
payment vouchers
sent to City Hall for payment
request
6.
Copies of
revenue deposits sent
to City Hall
7.
Copies of
Personnel Action
Forms and copies of backup
documents
for part-time new
hires sent to Human Resources
8.
City Council agendas - 1979
through 1984 (City Clerk's
office)
9. Carbon copies of vendor warrants - FY95 (City Clerk's
office)
10. Miscellaneous correspondence - 1969 through 2004 (Mayor's
office)
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May, 2010.
