RESOLUTION NO. 2023-722
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY WOODRUFF
CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $3,000.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY
2020 WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT BIOSOLIDS
MODIFICATIONS PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 994, AND
RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, performed work in
conjunction with the FY 2020 Wastewater Treatment Plant Biosolids Modifications Project,
Contract No. 994, and
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction, Inc. has completed the aforementioned project, in
accordance with the bid documents, specifications, form of contract, etc., as approved by Council
on January 27, 2020, Resolution No. 2020-066.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Certificate of Completion and Recommendation of Acceptance of
Work, for work performed by Woodruff Construction, Inc., at a total cost of $16,551,721.11, in
conjunction with the FY 2020 Wastewater Treatment Plant Biosolids Modifications Project,
Contract No. 994, are hereby approved, a two-year maintenance bond received and filed, and
final retainage in the amount of $3,000.00 is hereby released.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of November 2023.
