RESOLUTION NO. 2023-727
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PLUMB
TECH, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$263,950.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE WATERLOO CENTER FOR THE ARTS CHILLER
REPLACEMENT PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Plumb Tech, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in conjunction with
the Waterloo Center for the Arts Chiller Replacement Project, in the amount of $263,950.00, and
is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Plumb Tech, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond, and certificate of
insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with the Waterloo Center for the Arts Chiller
Replacement Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Plumb Tech, Inc., in the amount of $263,950.00, in conjunction with
the Waterloo Center for the Arts Chiller Replacement Project, is hereby accepted and awarded to
Plumb Tech, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Plumb Tech, Inc., in
the amount of $263,950.00, in conjunction with the Waterloo Center for the Arts Chiller
Replacement Project, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of November 2023.
