RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
ADOPTION OF THE HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN UPDATE
FOR THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS MAY 17,
2010, AT 5:30 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS
AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa has
authorized the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments to
update the City's Hazard Mitigation Plan in cooperation with the
Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee for the City, and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa has received Hazard
Mitigation Grant Planning funds to prepare said Plan, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
desires citizen input on the establishment and adoption of a
Hazard Mitigation Plan Update, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th day of May, 2010 for
the purpose of adopting the Hazard Mitigation Plan Update.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of May, 2010.
