RESOLUTION NO. 2023-769
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO B & B LAWN CARE,
INC., OF WATERLOO, IN THE AMOUNT OF $19.46 PER
LOT/OCCURRENCE, APPROVING THE CONTRACT AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE 2023-2025 RESIDENTIAL/MISCELLANEOUS AREAS
SNOW REMOVAL CONTRACT FOR CITY -OWNED LOTS
GENERALLY ACQUIRED THROUGH IOWA CODE 657A,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in conjunction
with the 2023-2025 Residential/Miscellaneous Areas Snow Removal Contract for city -owned
lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A, in the amount of $19.46 per lot/occurrence, and
is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond, and certificate of
insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with the 2023-2025 Residential/Miscellaneous
Areas Snow Removal Contract for city -owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of B & B Lawn Care, Inc., in the amount of $19.46 per lot/occurrence,
in conjunction with the 2023-2025 Residential/Miscellaneous Areas Snow Removal Contract for
city -owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A, is hereby accepted and awarded to
Plumb Tech, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by B & B Lawn Care,
Inc., in the amount of $19.46 per lot/occurrence, in conjunction with the 2023-2025
Residential/Miscellaneous Areas Snow Removal Contract for city -owned lots generally acquired
through Iowa Code 657A, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute said documents.
3. That Resolution No. 2023-729 is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of December 2023.
