RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN
ACQUISITION CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY
TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING
CERTAIN DEEDS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HAZARD
MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM PROPERTY ACQUISITION
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had the parcels
described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained,
and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described
parcels is in conjunction with the Hazard Mitigation Grant
Program Property Acquisition Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contracts for the parcels
hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and
City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in
behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to
consummate the agreements to purchase the property from the
owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are
also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed
to pay for the properties from City funds.

Total Acquisition - $35,496.00
Burds Subdivision in Sherwood Park part of Lot 54
commencing at the Northwest corner of Lot 54, thence
Southeast on the Northerly line 21.8 feet, thence
Southwest to a point on the Southerly line 24.5 feet
Easterly of the Southwest corner, thence Northwesterly
on the Southerly line 24.5 feet to the Southwest
corner, thence Northeasterly on the Westerly line to
the beginning of Lot 55;
And also;
Burds Subdivision in Sherwood Park Lot 53 part of Lot
54 commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 54, thence
Westerly on the North line 28.2 feet, thence
Southwesterly to a point in the Southerly line 62.7
feet West of the Southeast corner, thence East to the
Southeast corner, thence Northerly to the beginning,
all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of May, 2010.
