RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN
ACQUISITION CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY
TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING
CERTAIN DEEDS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HAZARD
MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM PROPERTY ACQUISITION
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had the parcels
described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained,
and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described
parcels is in conjunction with the Hazard Mitigation Grant
Program Property Acquisition Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contracts for the parcels
hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and
City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in
behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to
consummate the agreements to purchase the property from the
owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are
also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed
to pay for the properties from City funds.

Commencing at a point on the Northerly line of
Greenwood Avenue that is 425.5 feet (measured along the
Northerly line of Greenwood Avenue) Easterly from the
most Westerly corner of said Lot No. 56; thence
Southeasterly along the Northerly line of Greenwood
Avenue 60 feet to a point that is 92.7 feet from the
angle point "I" on said line; thence Northeasterly to a
point on the river bank that is 557.4 feet (measured
along said River bank) from the most Northerly corner
of said Lot No. 56; thence Northwesterly along said
riverbank a distance of 60 feet to a point that is

or less to the Southerly bank of the Cedar River, 81.2
feet more or less to a point that is 607.4 feet,
measured along the river bank, from a point on the

Southwest Corner of Tract #56; thence Southwesterly
307.1 feet to a point on the Northeasterly line of

feet; thence Northeasterly to a point on the river bank
