RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
JANUARY 16, 2024, TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY
AMERICANS FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING TO REZONE
APPROXIMATELY 1.22 ACRES FROM "C-2" COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT TO "C-2,C-Z" CONDITIONAL ZONING DISTRICT
TO ALLOW FOR A STORAGE WAREHOUSE IN A PORTION
OF THE BUILDING LOCATED AT 4020 UNIVERSITY
AVENUE, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 161h day of January 2024, to
hold a public hearing to approve a request by Americans for Independent Living to rezone
approximately 1.22 acres from "C-2" Commercial District to "C-2,C-Z" Conditional Zoning
District to allow for a storage warehouse in a portion of the building located at 4020 University
Avenue.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of January 2024.
