RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
JANUARY 16, 2024, TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY THE
CITY OF WATERLOO TO VACATE A 14,734 SQUARE FOOT
PORTION OF WEST AIRLINE HIGHWAY EAST OF 3165
WEST AIRLINE HIGHWAY SUBJECT TO THE RETENTION
OF A DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT OVER, UNDER
AND UPON THE VACATE AREA, AND INSTRUCT THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th day of January 2024to
approve the request by the City of Waterloo to vacate a 14,734 square foot portion of West
Airline Highway east of 3165 West Airline Highway subject to the retention of a drainage and
utility easement over, under and upon the vacate area.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
