RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING FROM THE ROAD USE TAX.
FUND THE SUM OF ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED
TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-ONE
DOLLARS AND TEN CENTS ( $1,729,231 . 10) TO THE
GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department and the Transportation
Program Management Department are funded within the General Fund
and have performed Engineering and Project Management Services for
the Road Use Tax Fund, and
WHEREAS, the State Code of Iowa allows for allowable street
related costs to be reimbursed by Road Use Tax Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a transfer be made retroactively to July 1,
1992 for the amount of $1 , 299 ,446.74 from the Road Use Tax Fund to
the General Fund for allowable street related Engineering and
Transportation Project Management services performed, the costs of
which were expended prior to July 1, 1992.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that a transfer be made retroactively to June 30,
1993 for the amount of $429 ,784. 36 from the Road Use Tax Fund to
the General Fund for allowable street related Engineering and
Transportation Program Management services performed, the costs of
which were expended for the year ended June 30 , 1993 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Acting City Clerk be
instructed to certify a copy of this resolution to the City
Treasurer of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, in order that said
transfers be made.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of December, 1993 .
