RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING FROM THE TRUST AND
AGENCY FUND THE SUM OF ONE MILLION SEVEN
HUNDRED TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED
THIRTY-ONE DOLLARS AND TEN CENTS
( $1,729,231.10) TO THE ROAD USE TAX FUND.
WHEREAS, Chapter 384. 6 of the State Code of Iowa allows for
the reimbursement of certain employee benefits expended within the
Road Use Tax Fund, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has levied property taxes for the
purpose of reimbursing allowable employee benefits, the City" s
adopted budget for the years ending June 30, 1991, June 30, 1992,
and June 30 , 1993 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a transfer be made retroactively to July 1,
1992 for the amount of $1 , 208 ,659 . 64 from the Trust and Agency Fund
to the Road Use Tax Fund to reimburse for insurance, FICA, IPERS,
and disability costs expended prior to July 1, 1992, which are
allowed by Section 384. 6 of the State Code of Iowa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that a transfer be made retroactively to June 30,
1993 for the amount of $520 , 571. 46 from the Trust and Agency Fund
to the Road Use Tax Fund to reimburse for insurance, FICA, IPERS,
and disability costs expended for the year ending June 30, 1993,
which are allowed by Section 384. 6 of the State Code of Iowa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Acting City Clerk be
instructed to certify a copy of this resolution to the Treasurer of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, in order that said transfers be made.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of December, 1993 .
