Getty Council Chambers 4:30 p.m. Roll Call Members present: Mayor Quentin Hart in the Chair. Mr. Boesen, Mr. Nichols, Mr. Chiles, Mr. Simon and Mr. Feuss. Ms. Wilder arrived at 4:32 p.m. and Ms. Creighton -Smith arrived at 4:39 p.m. Agenda, as proposed or amended Feuss/Chiles that the agenda as proposed, be approved. Voice vote -Ayes: Five. Motion carried. Approval of Minutes of December 18, 2023, as proposed. Feuss/Chiles that the minutes of December 18, 2023 as proposed, be approved. Voice vote -Ayes: Five. Motion carried. An ordinance removing the term 'At Large' from Chapter 5-1 B-9 Dog Attacks. Sheila Steffen, Public Works Coordinator, provided clarifying remarks regarding the request for the language change. Discussion a sidewalk cafe and parklet ordinance. Mr. Chiles discussed the proposed changes with the Mayor and council. Discussion of an ordinance amending Section 1-4-11, Method of Keeping Minutes. Kelley Felchle, City Clerk, proposed a change in the ordinance regarding the recording of minutes. She explained that currently, the city code dictates that we record a synopsis of what is said in the meeting. She would like to make this move, so we are inline with the statutory requirements as outlined in the state code. This change would save the city money in publication costs and also staff time. Mr. Boesen commented that the meetings are available on YouTube or our cable access channel. Mr Chiles supports this proposed change and asked that council also consider a review of public comments at council meetings. Kelley Felchle shared that the only requirement for taking public comment is during a public hearing. ADJOURNMENT Page 1 of 2 Page 3 of 5 Feuss/Chiles that the council adjourn at 5:01. PLUMBING CODE 9-4A-2: AMENDMENTS: Section 715 is amended by adding the following subsection: 715.1 .1 The building sewer, beginning two (2) feet from any building or structure, shall be schedule 40 PVC, PVC SDR 23.5, cast iron soil pipe, vitrified clay tile, truss pipe or concrete pipe. 715.1.2 For new building or structure, the building sewer beginning two (2) feet from the structure, shall be SCH 40 PVC, PVC SDR 23.5, or cast iron soil pipe to the sewer main.
