RESOLUTION NO. 2024-060
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PRICE
INDUSTRIAL ELECTRIC, INC., OF ROBINS, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $2,095,065.57, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2024 FIBER-OPTIC OUTSIDE
PLANT (OSP), ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ADMINISTRATION (EDA) AWARD NUMBER 05-79-06185,
CONTRACT NO. 1086, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Price Industrial Electric, Inc., of Robins, Iowa, submitted a bid
in conjunction with the FY 2024 Fiber -Optic Outside Plant (OSP), Economic Development
Administration (EDA) Award Number 05-79-06185, Contract No. 1086, in the amount of
$2,095,065.57, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Price Industrial Electric, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond, and
certificate of insurance, per city specifications approved by Resolution No. 2023-776 on
December 4, 2023, in conjunction with the FY 2024 Fiber -Optic Outside Plant (OSP), Economic
Development Administration (EDA) Award Number 05-79-06185, Contract No. 1086.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Price Industrial Electric, Inc., in the amount of $2,095,065.57,
in conjunction with the FY 2024 Fiber -Optic Outside Plant (OSP), Economic Development
Administration (EDA) Award Number 05-79-06185, Contract No. 1086, is hereby accepted and
awarded to Price Industrial Electric, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Price Industrial
Electric, Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2024 Fiber -Optic Outside Plant (OSP), Economic
Development Administration (EDA) Award Number 05-79-06185, Contract No. 1086, are
hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of February 2024.
