RESOLUTION NO. 2024-061
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERS
CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN
THE AMOUNT OF $98,942.10, APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE AIRPORT CARES
MAINTENANCE GRANT, AIP 3-19-0094-048, HANGAR NO. 4
MOLD REMEDIATION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Peters Construction Corporation of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid
in conjunction with the Airport CARES Maintenance Grant, AIP 3-19-0094-048, Hangar No. 4
Mold Remediation Project, in the amount of $98,942.10, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Peters Construction Corporation submitted a written contract, bond, and
certificate of insurance, in conjunction with the Airport CARES Maintenance Grant, AIP 3-19-
0094-048, Hangar No. 4 Mold Remediation Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Peters Construction Corporation in the amount of $98,942.10,
in conjunction with the Airport CARES Maintenance Grant, AIP 3-19-0094-048, Hangar No. 4
Mold Remediation Project, is hereby accepted and awarded to Peters Construction Corporation.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Peters Construction
Corporation, in conjunction with the Airport CARES Maintenance Grant, AIP 3-19-0094-048,
Hangar No. 4 Mold Remediation Project, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized and directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of February 2024.
