RESOLUTION NO. 2024-066
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERS
CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $995,697.00, APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE WATERLOO CONVENTION
CENTER RESTROOM RENOVATION PROJECT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Peters Construction Corporation of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid
in conjunction with the Waterloo Convention Center Restroom Renovation Project, in the
amount of $995,697.00, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Peters Construction Corporation submitted a written contract, bond, and
certificate of insurance, per city specifications approved by Resolution No. 2024-065 on
February 5, 2024, in conjunction with the Waterloo Convention Center Restroom Renovation
Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Peters Construction Corporation, in the amount of $995,697.00,
in conjunction with the Waterloo Convention Center Restroom Renovation Project, is hereby
accepted and awarded to Peters Construction Company.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Peters Construction
Corporation, in conjunction with the Waterloo Convention Center Restroom Renovation Project,
are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of February 2024.
