RESOLUTION MAKING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO AUGUST
ENTERPRISES, L.L.C. OF JEFFERSON, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $62,304.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
ASBESTOS REMOVAL AT THE FORMER VAN EATON
SCHOOL, CONTRACT NO. 137-AR-10-25-10-CDBG.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the bid of August Enterprises, L.L.C. of Jefferson,
Iowa, in the amount of $62,304.00, for Asbestos Removal at the
Former Van Eaton School, Contract No. 137-AR-10-25-10-CDBG,
described in the plans and specifications heretofore adopted by
this Council for said project in Resolution No. 2010-936, after
public hearing on October 18, 2010 on published notice required
by law, be and is hereby accepted, the same being the lowest bid
received for said project.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
