RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF KNK
PROPERTIES FOR A MINOR SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO
THE "S-1" SHOPPING CENTER DISTRICT TO ALLOW
FOR A 150' X 155' (23,250 SF) ADDITION TO THE
FORMER ECONO FOODS BUILDING LOCATED AT 1411
FLAMMANG DRIVE.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa approve the request of KNK Properties for a
minor Site Plan Amendment to the "S-1" Shopping Center District
to allow for a 150' x 155' (23,250 SF) addition to the former
Econo Foods building located at 1411 Flammang Drive, resulting in
a reduction of required parking from 372 stalls to 345 stalls,
legally described as follows:
Crossroads Plat No. 2 Lot 2 and Easement Book 8 Page
610 and Easement Book 8 Page 599, all in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
WHEREAS, due to the insignificant nature of said minor Site
Plan Amendment, the Council did not deem it necessary to hold a
public hearing, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said minor
Site Plan Amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the minor Site Plan Amendment to the
"S-1" Shopping Center District to allow for a 150' x 155' (23,250
SF) addition to the former Econo Foods building located at 1411
Flammang Drive, resulting in a reduction of required parking from
372 stalls to 345 stalls, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of November, 2010, and
approved by the Mayor this 1st day of November, 2010.
