RESOLUTION NO. 2024-129
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT AND
EXTENSION TO THE COMMUNITY GARDEN AGREEMENT
WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA CENTER
FOR ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION, TO
UTILIZE AN EXPANDED DESIGNATED PORTION OF
HIGHLAND PARK AS A COMMUNITY GARDEN FOR
GROWING VEGETABLES, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, that an amendment to the Community Garden Agreement with the University of
Northern Iowa Center for Energy and Environmental Education, to utilize an expanded
designated portion of Highland Park as a community garden for growing vegetables, is hereby
approved, and the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of March 2024.
