RESOLUTION NO. 2024-111
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO KW
ELECTRIC, INC., OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $46,074.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE AIRPORT CARES
MAINTENANCE GRANT, FAA AIP PROJECT NO. 3-19-0094-
048, MISCELLANEOUS LIGHTING REPLACEMENT
PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, KW Electric, Inc., of Cedar Falls, Iowa, submitted a bid in conjunction with
the Airport CARES Maintenance Grant, FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-048, Miscellaneous
Lighting Replacement Project, in the amount of $46,074.00, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, KW Electric, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond, and certificate of
insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with the Airport CARES Maintenance Grant,
FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-048, Miscellaneous Lighting Replacement Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of KW Electric, Inc., in the amount of $46,074.00, in conjunction with
the Airport CARES Maintenance Grant, FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-048, Miscellaneous
Lighting Replacement Project, is hereby accepted and awarded to KW Electric, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by KW Electric, Inc., in
conjunction with the Airport CARES Maintenance Grant, FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-048,
Miscellaneous Lighting Replacement Project, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City
Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of March 2024.
