RESOLUTION NO. 2024-114
RESOLUTION APPROVING ACKNOWLEDGMENT/SETTLEMENT
AGREEMENT FOR TOBACCO VIOLATION - FIRST OFFENSE
WITH METRO MART #4, 2322 FALLS AVENUE, WATERLOO,
IOWA 50701, AND ACCEPTANCE OF A CIVIL PENALTY IN THE
AMOUNT OF $300.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that
the Acknowledgment/Settlement Agreement, dated March 4, 2024, for the first violation -
affirmative defense for sale of tobacco to a minor, between Metro Mart #4, 2322 Falls Avenue,
Waterloo, Iowa 50701 and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and acceptance of a civil penalty in the
amount of $300.00, is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute said document on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of March 2024.
