RESOLUTION NO. 2024-117
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO
MUNICIPAL PIPE TOOL CO., LLC OF HUDSON, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $416,121.20, RESERVING THE RIGHT TO
AUTHORIZE PART OR ALL THE WORK DESCRIBED IN
ALTERNATE NO. 1 FOR $117,607.00, APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2024 CIP PIPELINING
PHASE IVB1, CONTRACT NO. 1102, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC of Hudson, Iowa, submitted a bid
in conjunction with the FY 2024 CIP Pipelining Phase IVB1, Contract No. 1102, in the amount
of $416,121.20, in addition to Alternate No. 1 for $117,607.00, and is the apparent low bidder,
and
WHEREAS, Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC, submitted a written contract, bond, and
certificate of insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with the FY 2024 CIP Pipelining
Phase IVB 1, Contract No. 1102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC, in the amount of $416,121.20, with the
City reserving the right to authorize part or all the work described in Alternate No. 1 for
$117,607.00, in conjunction with the FY 2024 CIP Pipelining Phase IVB1, Contract No. 1102, is
hereby accepted and awarded to Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Municipal Pipe Tool
Co., LLC, in conjunction with the FY 2024 CIP Pipelining Phase IVB1, Contract No. 1102, are
hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents.
