RESOLUTION NO. 2024-141
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ADAMS
OUTDOOR CONTRACTING INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $79.99/ACRE OPTION A, $79.99/ACRE
OPTION C, $249.99/ACRE OPTION D, AND TO
PROFESSIONAL LAWN CARE LLC, OF WATERLOO, IOWA
IN THE AMOUNT OF $82.50/ACRE OPTION B, APPROVING
THE CONTRACTS, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATES OF
INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2024-2026
RIGHT-OF-WAY MOWING CONTRACT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Adams Outdoor Contracting Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $79.99/acre Option A, $79.99/acre Option C, $249.99/acre Option D, and is the
apparent low bidder for Option A, C and D, in conjunction the 2024-2026 Right -of -Way
Mowing Contract, and
WHEREAS, Adams Outdoor Contracting, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2024-118, after a public hearing on March 4, 2024, in conjunction with th
2024-2026 Right -of -Way Mowing Contract.
WHEREAS, Professional Lawn Care, LLC, of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $82.50 per acre, Option B, and is the apparent low bidder for Option B, in conjunction
with the 2024-2026 Right -of -Way Mowing Contract, and
WHEREAS, Professional Lawn Care, LLC, submitted a written contract, bond, and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2024-118, after a public hearing on March 4, 2024, in conjunction with the
2024-2026 Right -of -Way Mowing Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Adams Outdoor Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $79.99/acre
Option A, $79.99/acre Option C, $249.99/acre Option D, in conjunction with the 2024-2026
Right -of -Way Mowing Contract, is hereby awarded.
2. That the bid of Professional Lawn Care, LLC, in the amount of $82.50 per acre,
Option B, in conjunction with the 2024-2026 Right -of -Way Mowing Contract, is hereby
awarded.
3. That the contracts, bonds, and certificates of insurance submitted by Adams
Outdoor Contracting, Inc., and Professional Lawn Care, LLC, in conjunction with the 2024-2026
Right -of -Way Mowing Contract, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this
Council for said project with Resolution No. 2024-118, after a public hearing on March 4, 2024,
on published notice required by law, are hereby accepted and approved.
