RESOLUTION NO. 2024-151
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO CEDAR
VALLEY CORPORATION, OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $4,576.538.79, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2024 BROADWAY STREET
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1095, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Corporation of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in conjunction
with the FY 2024 Broadway Street Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1095, in the amount of
$4,576.538.79, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Corporation submitted a written contract, bond, and certificate
of insurance, per city specifications, approved by resolution No. 2024-088 on February 19, 2024,
in conjunction with the FY 2024 Broadway Street Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1095.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Cedar Valley Corporation, in the amount of $4,576.538.79,
in conjunction with the FY 2024 Broadway Street Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1095, is
hereby accepted and awarded to Cedar Valley Corporation.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Cedar Valley
Corporation, in conjunction with the FY 2024 Broadway Street Reconstruction Project, Contract
No. 1095, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to
execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of March 2024.
