RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF KNIGHTS OF
COLUMBUS FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE,
ORDINANCE NO. 3094.
WHEREAS, the Knights of Columbus is requesting a variance to
the Noise Ordinance on November 13, 2010 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30
p.m. in conjunction with the Our Lady of Peace Rededication event
to be held at 1955 Locke Avenue, with the closure of La Porte Road
from Easton Avenue to Locke Avenue, including the use of a PA
system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Knights of Columbus has made formal application
for a variance effective November 13, 2010 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30
p.m., together with recommendation of approval of the Chief of
Police.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Knights of Columbus for a
variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on November 13,
2010 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in conjunction with the Our Lady
of Peace Rededication Event to be held at 1955 Locke Avenue, with
the closure of La Porte Road from Easton Avenue to Locke Avenue,
including the use of a PA system, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of October, 2010.
