RESOLUTION NO. 2024-171
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ASPRO,
INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$3,819,933.40, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2024 ASPHALT OVERLAY PROGRAM, CONTRACT
NO. 1099, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
$3,819,933.40, in conjunction with the FY 2024 Asphalt Overlay Program, Contract No. 1099,
and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of insurance,
in conjunction with the FY 2024 Asphalt Overlay Program, Contract No. 1099.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Aspro, Inc., in the amount of $3,819,933.40, in conjunction with the FY
2024 Asphalt Overlay Program, Contract No. 1099, is hereby awarded to Aspro, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Aspro, Inc., in
conjunction with the FY 2024 Asphalt Overlay Program, Contract No. 1099, are hereby
approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
