RESOLUTION NO. 2024-177
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO P&J LAWN CARE
OF WATERLOO, IOWA OPTION A: $1,700.00, OPTION B: $1,700.00
PER OCCURRENCE, OPTION C: $65.00 PER MAN-HOUR, AND
OPTION D: $110.00 PER MAN-HOUR, APPROVING THE
CONTRACTS, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2025-2026 COMPLAINT MOWING
WITH COMPLAINT SNOW REMOVAL CONTRACT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, P & J Lawn Care, of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid as follows: A:
$1,700.00, Option B: $1,700.00 per occurrence, Option C: $65.00 per man-hour, and Option D:
$110.00 per man-hour, and in conjunction with the FY 2025-2026 Complaint Mowing with
Complaint Snow Removal Contract, and
WHEREAS, P & J Lawn Care submitted a written contract, bond, and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2024-176, after a public hearing on April 1, 2024, in conjunction with the FY
2025-2026 Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow Removal Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of P & J Lawn Care, in the amounts as follows: Option A:
$1,700.00, Option B: $1,700.00 per occurrence, Option C: $65.00 per man-hour, and Option D:
$110.00 per man-hour, in conjunction with the FY 2025-2026 Complaint Mowing with
Complaint Snow Removal Contract, is hereby accepted.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by P & J Lawn
Care, in conjunction with the FY 2025-2026 Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow Removal
Contract, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this lst day of April 2024.
